Coligny Beach
By far the most popular beach in Hilton Head! White sand, beautiful waves, beach park with amenities, restrooms and showers, separate changing rooms, benches, gazebos, and even free parking. Don’t feel like packing a cooler? Just head over to one of the many eateries right by the sand. Coffee shops, ice cream & restaurants are all right there.
Shelter Cove
Dining? Check. Shopping? Check. Play? Check. Events? Check. No matter what you feel up to doing, Shelter Cove is the place to be. Take it easy at the shops or feed your energy with water sports activities. Check out their blog and events calendar to make the most out of your visit!
Pinckney Island
Jump into the Hilton Head wildlife at this 1,200 acre refuge island that aims to preserve and protect endangered natural habitats and species. Perfect for those who love bird watching and nature in general. Take a walk and make it as short or long as you want, with easy access to parking. Don’t forget to pack your bug spray for this one!
Daufuskie Island
Take a step back in time on Daufuskie Island, where Spanish moss and historical landmarks add to the charm. Check out the multitude of golf courses, shops, tours, trail rides and eateries on the island. The best way to get to the island is by Ferry, and the most prominent mode of transportation on the island is by golf cart, so make plans to rent yours!
Harbour Town Lighthouse
You can’t miss the red and white stripes of the Harbour Town Lighthouse..open to the public since 1970, it’s a Hilton Head staple. Visit and climb to the top of the lighthouse every day of the week from 10am - sundown and at the small cost of $4.50 per person. Climb the 114 steps to take in the beautiful views from the top. Learn historical facts on your way up through the self-guided tour and be sure to check out the gift shop at the top!
Boat Tours
What better way to be out on the water than by boat? Hilton Head offers a range of different boat tours, from sailboats, speedboats, cruises, charters, pontoons, dolphin tours, even a pirate adventure, and more. There are also a variety of smaller scale water activities available such as kayaking, paddle boarding and jet skis.
