Ocean Dunes Villa 407

This was our 5th stay in #407. It always has been and continues to be a wonderful place to enjoy our holiday. The unit is super clean, well equipped and perfectly located. Being on the 4th floor gives you an excellent view of the beach and ocean. Centrally located makes getting around very easy.
The staff at Vacation Time provide excellent support in case of need.
And to sum it up, we are booked for next year - looking forward to it already.

A little bit of paradise
The worst part about coming here is leaving. This is our 5th stay in this Unit and we have already booked our return next year. What we love about this unit is the location. We can sit on the balcony with an unobstructed view of the ocean and enjoy our coffee in the morning and dinner in the evening. Of course being steps from the beach allows a walk when the tide is out. Centrally located on the island for shopping, golf etc. with Coligny Plaza close by. Over the years the owners have continued to provide upgrades to make our stay more comfortable - great new bar stools this year - thanks. And of course we would be remiss if we didn’t thank the staff at Vacation Time - Stephanie, Jimmy, Kristin and Fernando who are always available to provide advice or help in the event of any issues one may encounter during the stay. Wonderful view. Very clean and comfy.
Only complaint is that the pool should be cleaned every day. Lots of dead bugs in the pool. Bugs flew in every night.

Liked the layout of the unit. Yes I would recommend to others but have kept my mouth shut the last while cause we just want to relax and enjoy not have all these people saying what are you guys or we doing today.
Mind you wasn’t so bad this year. We’ve spent a lot of years there and love it.

Ocean Dunes Villa 407 is a little gem. It has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The location is perfect, right on the beach, but within easy walking distance to the nearby restaurants and shops at Coligney Plaza. The property management staff are very helpful offering suggestions for things to see and do while staying in Hilton Head. We would highly recommend both the unit and the property management company.

Our home away from home
We are just packing the final items before heading home. Again we want to thank you for your wonderful place - everything in order as usual. The unit had the normal screen door and TV problems but
Having stayed there 15 times or more that is expected
All in all good trip, good unit, good people.
I would like the building/island take it up a notch with recycling
I walked .8 mile up the beach to hope the recycling bins there

We had a great week at the ocean in Hilton Head. This villa is as close as you can get. You get to see all the beauty and action on the beach without asking in the sun. We spent a couple hours at the beach or pool each day. But we also enjoyed the convenience of having breakfast, lunch and dinner on the balcony watching the action some days.

The villa is well equipped for two people. It may be tight for four people, particularly with only one bathroom. Parking was easy. The elevator and luggage carts made it easy to move in and move out.

There are plenty of restaurants and shops within a 3/4 mile walk. Even a major grocery store. The only negative was once in a while you could smell smoking from the balcony below us. The furniture is getting a little worn, but everything looked clean. We plan to go back to this same unit next year.

People like Kristin, Michael, Jimmy and Albert at VTTHI reception on Lemoyne Avenue made our return visit worthwhile. They moved our villa immediately because the original was next to a villa being renovated. And the new location was well located and quiet during our entire stay. We have been to Hilton Head Island MANY times and we have always appreciated the friendly and helpful face-to-face services provided by the Vacation Time of Hilton Head Island team. The villa was very nice but could benefit from addition of a dining room table plus a black out curtain over the bedroom window to block out the security light outside. The light over the stove needs to be replaced.

From the moment we arrived until the day we left unit 407 in Ocean Dunes we had a wonderful time. The unit is a perfect get away with everything you need including a very comfortable king sized bed - maybe too comfortable as you almost hate to get up. Being in the 4th floor provides an excellent view of the ocean and beach. So it is very relaxing to sit and read or enjoy a guilt meal.
Ocean Dunes is located on the beach and within walking distance of restaurants and shops at Coligny Plaza.
Check in with the staff at Vacation Time is a breeze and they are there to assist with any questions.
All in all it is a great place for a very relaxing vacation.

Great Trip
We stayed for a week in June and absolutely loved the condo. We have been coming to Hilton Head for 7 years and this has been the nicest condo we have stayed in! The grounds were well maintained the condo was clean and the perfect size for my wife and I. The view from the balcony was wonderful and unobstructed. My only complaint was that we had to stop at the office to pick up a key. It would have been nice to have a lockbox or keyless entry. Other than that we will definitely book this condo on our yearly vacation

The condo was perfect for my husband and I. The view of the ocean was gorgeous. Loved sitting out on the patio in the morning and watching for dolphins. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs. Our only disappointment is that the pictures on the listing show the pool for the property next door in several photos which makes it seem like that pool is for this property, when in actuality, it is not. The pool for this property is the smaller pool. It wasn't a big deal for us as we love the beach. But if we had been choosing a property for the pool potential we would have been very unhappy.

This unit was exactly as shown. Love the view! Contrary to the previous posts, the mattress is FINE - new and comfy! My only complaint would be the lack of cookware and cooking utensils. I was glad I brought a decent knife and a cookie sheet.

The views from this oceanfront condo were amazing. The condo was equipped with plenty of towels, beach chairs, cabinet in the bathroom for storing all of our toiletries- all the little things that add up to having everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing experience. The bed was comfortable as well. The next time we vacation in Hilton head, we would love to stay here again.

Best first! Great location and view. Nice updates. Kitchen could use some better utensils. The worst was the bed. Part of the problem seems to be the mattress, very saggy, not comfortable for me (I don't like a hard mattress either just not one that leaves you feeling like you fell in a hole.) could the supports for the bed? Property Manager only wanted to argue with me, did not try to listen to the complaint (they did offer for us to move to another unit but that is not how I wanted to spend 1/2 to 3/4 of a vacation day), and the owner said they just stayed here and it was fine. Not the right response at all. Neither was willing to the feedback and learn from it. I will not return to either this property or one managed by this group - Vacation Time Hilton Head

As we all know the comfort of a mattress is a very personal thing. We offered to move the guest twice to another unit with a mattress that suited his taste. He would not move and wanted us to pro-rate his stay based on the number of hours he spent in the bed. 9 hours per day. He was very unreasonable and impossible to make happy. The owners have replaced the mattress in September 2021

The attraction for us is the ideal location on the water with everything so handy near-by, restaurants of every description. We can walk most everywhere rather than driving which makes it an ideal location. We find Unit 407 perfect for our wants and needs. It is very clean and open. We love sitting on the balcony and watching the parade of people going by on the beach everyday. It is our true Happy Place. We have already booked for a month again next year, can hardly wait.

The suite is nice, front view of the ocean, balcony, ACs, strong shower, full kitchen. Only one thing was disappointing: dark bedroom. Anyway, all other items were good and this suit is worth the money. Also, the location is in the middle of everything with free parking which makes another plus.

This is a great vacation rental right on a beautiful beach and the condo had everything you need to be comfortable on vacation. The view from the balcony is awesome and the condo stays nice and cool which is awesome when you come in from a day at the beach. It was also easy to run-up to the room if you forget something once you got to the beach. The pool is nice, small but you don't really need more. The pool at the Hilton next door is very close to the condo so expect noise on the balcony until at least 10pm when I pool closed. The biggest drawback is the bed, its very old, uncomfortable and squeaks with every move. It would be a perfect place if the bed got updated. I would recommend bringing your own pillows and a blanket as the comforter on the bed is fairly worn and stained so I didn't feel comfortable using it.

Unit 407 was clean, comfortable and simply decorated. I loved that it was not full of fake plant and flower arrangements and beachy wall decor. It was simple and light. Very calm beach attitude. We have been visiting HHI and staying at Ocean Dunes for 25 years and have seen many changes to the surrounding property particularly the Hilton Ocean Oak next door. I would like to suggest that for those of us who visit from October to April that it would be very nice to have a heated pool and a hot tub would also be great.

First the staff leaned over backwards to help us from beginning to end. The unit is really laid out well with a great view. The location in HH is great for us as our dinning favorites are near by. We stayed for a month, the place was really clean and everything worked except the dishwasher, it was serviced in 24 hrs and repaired. The agents also helped us with dining and helped us get some great deals on golf.

We rented this oceanfront unit in January, and the weather was COLD! That didn't stop us from riding bicycles on the beach (with down jackets on) and visiting a public sculpture exhibit at the Coastal Discovery Museum.

What can I say about Ocean Dunes #407? Very conveniently located, nicely appointed and clean. Has a great shower and the appliances all do their job adequately. Great views of the beach and ocean from the third floor. TINY bedroom...the king bed makes it feel even smaller, but we didn't spend a lot of time there!!

Ocean Dunes is at least 30 years old but seems to be very well maintained, especially considering the harsh weather conditions on the coast.

We greatly enjoyed our month long stay in Unit 407. The Unit was very clean, was well equipped and above all it was very comfortable - just like home. The view of the beach and ocean from the balcony was wonderful.
What we truly love about the location is how accessible everything is. Easy walking distance to Coligny Plaza, where there is an abundance of good resturants and shops.
The folks (Michael, Stephanie and others) at the Vacation Time office were most helpful. They were able to accomodate our friends at the last minute.
We enjoyed everything so much we have already booked for the same time next year.

Loved this condo. It was very clean and well organzied. The only problem we had was that the bed was too high for my husband to use as he has Parkinsons Disease and is not able to climb into a high bed. We used the sofa bed all week and found it to be quite comfortable. Doubt that we will rent this unit again because of the bed.

This was our 27th year vacationing in Hilton Head and all of our stays have been made possible through Vacation Time of Hilton Head.
Once again this year we were not disappointed and have already booked our 2019 return to HH and with Vacation Time.

The office staff has always been terrific and responsive to any concerns we've had (which have been very minimal over our 27 years).

This was probably the most relaxing vacation that I have had in many years. The accommodations were perfect. The view from the balcony was amazing. My family and I have stayed at Ocean Dunes in the past, and had an enjoyable experience. My wife has since passed away from cancer, but most of her family is in the area of Hilton Head. A combination of the total solar eclipse and what would have been my wives 60th birthday. I decided to make the trip from NH, to celebrate her birthday with her family. I am not a hot weather person and I don't usually go to the beach. That being said, I was able to spend quality time with my in-laws as well as some much needed alone time. Most of my alone time was spent on the balcony, listening to the sounds of the surf and enjoying a wonderful sea breeze. Everything was perfect. I will return.

This space was just lovely and relaxing. Obviously updated and well cared for. Lots of touches that you would enjoy in your own home. Bed was very comfortable and it was so quiet inside, well insulated from the sound of neighbors. Nice view and you just couldn't beat the location!

The condo was exactly as described and the photos on the listing were accurate. The place actually exceeded our expectations and was perfect. It's perfect for two people. The view is amazing, the photos do it no justice. We spent a lot of time on the balcony. The beach and pool are just a quick walk downstairs. I also really like the location. We were near a lot of great restaurants and it was very convenient to grocery stores, pharmacies, and things like that you may need during your stay. We really enjoyed Coligny Plaza and Reilly's Plaza. We were there to celebrate the New Year and my birthday and it was a perfect getaway! Cannot wait to go again and will definitely stay at the same place.

The condo was great. Newly redone and felt like home away from home. Very comfortable throughout. From the tall chairs and table on the balcony - IMO key so you can see over the railing and not be looking through the railing. Al the living room furniture was high quality and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with all the usual stuff. Bathroom was a nice size and a great shower.
Bedroom had a lot of storage and the king sized bed was pretty good - but it may be time for a new mattress (they don't last forever).
Overall I would give it 4 stars, out of 5.
The bads: The TV's are a joke. Neither of them worked, at all. The air conditioner in the bedroom about drove me crazy. It runs all-the-time! It would shut off for 45 seconds - then turn back on. But, that being said, I would go back tomorrow!

This is a very nice condo of which we hope to stay in again in the future. However, major construction going on next door that starts at 7 am and goes to 5pm. Not very relaxing. Balcony is unusable during the day and you can't leave the door open during the day. Vacation Time graciously gave some $ off our stay because of the construction. We were told construction would be completed in September. Condo is well maintained and clean. Bed and living room furniture are very comfortable. They could use additional plates and bowls. This is a wonderful condo and will be fantastic after September!

The condo is beautiful and clean. The furnishings made the condo's ambience very relaxing and homey. The shower is amazing! the view was awesome but since construction is going on it did put a bit of a damper on the view when you are looking straight down. Access to beach and pool was a bit more difficult due to construction but the new pool is really nice. Condo needs more dishes and glassware. Overall, it was a great condo to be in, clean and new furnishings.

We have stayed here 4 times now. This was the best unit we have ever stayed in. Everything was new. The view was great. This was stocked with everything we needed. Only issues we ran into was construction started at 7:30 and woke us up every morning, and 4th floor, was a climb due to elevator being slow & used alot.

Recently remoded granite countertops, large shower,quality towels N tasteful furnishings. Particularly liked beach chairs umbrella provided. ButWe had brought our own wish we'd have known. Kurig and traditional coffe pot provided.
Lots of glassware but limited silverware could be reminded by better inventory at check out. Highly recommend this rental unit .

We have stayed at Ocean Dunes for several years. It was really nice to see most of the rooms. The owners did a fabulous job with this unit. It's beautifully done! We love the location and use of the fitness center is a plus! The building and grounds are always kept very clean. We'll be back next year and are excited to see all the new changes with the grounds and new pool. The only complaint would be the person smoking cigars outside, making it not very pleasureable to use our balcony (we were down wind). Thank you to a very professional and accomodating staff at Vacation Time!!

The apartment was freshly renovated and very clean. There is everything you need. We had a great time and enjoyed especially the balcony.
Maybe it is worth mentioning that the closet space is relatively small but for us it was sufficient.

We were very excited to get to the Island this year,
The room at ocean dunes was quint ,clean with all the Kitchen utensils and small appliances we needed.
The view was awesome` 1 complaint we could have used a dvd player.

The balcony was wonderful! Could see the ocean, could hear the waves crashing on the beach. The walk's on the beach, very close walk, were great!

Mostly pluses....few minuses. View was spectacular from the 4th floor. Well equipped kitchen & ample linens. Excellent mattress. Hot showers. Steve was very accommodating & professional in response to our few requests. Would highly recommend staying here.

Spectacular ocean view. Beautiful clean spacious beach. Our room offered a home away from home experience with it being very clean, fresh and inviting. This is our 3rd year back to ocean dunes...and we'll do it again next summer too.

As always our visit was exceptional. We have been coming to Hilton Head for 30 years. The accomodiations have always been great. Great service, great rooms. my wife and I come in the spring then come back with the kids and grand kids during the summer. The only place to vacation.
