Shorewood Villa 330

We had a wonderful stay in HHI this time around! The location of our condo was perfect. It was just off the beaten path and away from public beach entrance, but not too far from restaurants, shopping, etc. If needed, we could have parked our car at the beginning of the week and never used it. The location was spot on.
The property was clean and felt safe (locked gates). The rental company was easy to work with and very responsive. For example, it was missing the hair dryer as listed, but a quick email and they had one immediately available.
The only thing I would caution you about is if oceanview/ocean front is important to you. It was to me and that's why this property came up in my searches. I love drinking my coffee on a deck while watching the ocean. That's not what you get with this condo. If you move to the corner of the balcony and stand on your tippy toes, you can see a glimpse of the ocean in the top corner. Other that that, you are staring at the side view of the building in front of you. That was really disappointing to me. If that is not important to you, this is the place for you because it is stunning otherwise.

The folks at Vacation Time have treated us very well over the years. This year was no exception. After a wonderful week, incredibly noisy construction began on our building. We were told it would be going on through March! Vacation Time hadn't been told anything about this from the regime or the owner. We had to move. They had no other villas to move us to. They gave us a refund. No hassle or hesitation. Over the years they have always done everything to make our months long stays to be Friction free. The rest of this review will be about our first week.

Clean spacious rental in amazing complex
Wow! We had such an amazing vacation and we’re absolutely thrilled with the condo. It on the 3rd floor, but right by the elevator. And I was pleased that the owners had added things based on the feedback of other reviews. The rolls were very large and all appliances and bedding were extremely clean and in great condition. I loved relaxing on the patio amidst the palm trees. We would absolutely stay here again. The renovated ginormous pool area is incredible and we loved walking to happy hour every night in coligny!

The staff at Vacation Time of Hilton Head were very friendly and helpful. I would gladly rent through them again. The particular unit we rented at Shorewood was spacious and well equipped and in a great location on the beach. The view from the porch of the unit was buildings/parking lot not ocean. It would be nice to have had a lock box for the key, it was challenging to keep track of keys.

Very nice, clean, and conveniently located.
Management Company was wonderful.
There is a rusted out chair on balcony that needs to be removed or replaced.

Fit 3 adults and 3 children. Sofa bed was actually comfortable. Great proximity to beach, pool and hot tub, coligny circle, bike rentals, check-in office. Beach towels would have been helpful but we managed just fine. In-unit washer/dryer was also a huge help. The pool being heated for our April stay was very nice and seemingly hard to find amongst other options.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Teh location was great for us. Close enough to Coligny Plaza to walk to all the restaurants and the resort is right on the beach. We loved the end unit with all the extra light from the windows. It was a great spot to start our bike rides from. The unit was a great size for two of us and we had frequent guests.

Shorewood Villas is a wonderful place to stay. They are located directly on the beach and within walking distance of Coligny PLaza and the playground.

We were very happy with our stay. We arrived after hours, but the management company was just down the road and key/instruction pick up was quick/easy. Location of the unit is good. Right next to stairs and elevator. Short walk to pool and beach and we loved the walkability to stores and restaurants. Unit itself was fine. Comfortable master bed and nice and dark in the mornings. Overall, very good.

Checkin was easy and convenient. While it would have been nice to have an actual view of the ocean from the unit (not just a sliver), it was still a lovely, comfortable unit with very convenient access to the beach. Very close to Coligny Circle (and all the markets, restaurants, etc.) so there was no need to drive anywhere unless going somewhere specific. I've stayed in many villas in this area, but Shorewood Villas is a beautiful property with everything you need in the unit (full kitchen, washer/dryer, plenty of space, quiet). I would highly recommend this unit.

For the 7th year in a row we've rented the same beach side condo through Vacation Time. As always they have been amazingly hospitable allowing us to forward our mail through them, and quickly taking care of any issues that pop up in the condo. We're hoping to work with them for many years to come.

The property itself was very nice, was exactly as described. Great location with beach access, and the pool was sized "just right" for the number of guests staying.

Our unit (330) was a bit disappointing. From photos, we knew going into this rental that it was not "upscale," but it was still a letdown. Upgrades needed. Some upgrades have been done, but done cheaply (like the faux-wood laminate floor that made a "crunching" noise when walked on. Like light switches missing screws and miss-matched furniture.) The unit was not cleaned very well, which the rental agency should be aware of. We had planned to use the fold-out bed in the couch for our teenaged son, but when we opened it not only was it shabby, but had crumbs in it--yuck! There was also visible dust and grime in some floor corners, and a soapy/sticky residue left on some floors from washing.

Unit was exactly as described and check-in and check out process was easy. All the essentials needed for our 4 adult stay. Kitchen is adequately equipped and the living/dining area is more spacious than most condos. The two bedrooms featured either a king or queen instead of twin or bunk beds like most. The two baths (one en suite with a large walk in shower, the other/hall with a tub-shower combo) appeared to be recently updated. The company does not provide beach towels, which was fine for us in the off-season, but for those who are not in driving distance, it could be inconvenient to pack these items.

We had a great vacation in Hilton Head and this property definitely made for an easy few days. The location was convenient to everything and the unit was much bigger then I expected. It was equipped with everything we could need and all the furniture, beds included was very comfortable. The overall property was really nice and we loved being so quick to get on the beach. The umbrella and chair rental was very simple and the lifeguard was great. I know we're at the beach so I can't say that it was spotless since there was a bit of sand here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary. I really appreciated that we could rent for four nights and not have to commit to a full week. The folks at the rental office could not have been nicer which made for a easy check in process. We ate at some amazing restaurants, Old Oyster Factory, Skull Creek Boathouse and The Sea Shack. All and all it was a relaxing vacation!

This was our third year renting this condo in Shorewood through Vacation Time. We love the complex and Vacation Time has been instrumental in having the owner improve the condo over the years. Vacation Time has been absolute pleasure to work with. We've signed up for next year.

The villa was great. Unfortunately, they were working on a villa above and began work at 7:30 in the AM. That is way to early to hear sawing and hammaring.

Great condo! Very clean, new comforters-better than pix, lots of room, updated bathrooms, all made for a comfortable stay. The only negative is there is no ocean or pool view from balcony but we knew that before we rented. The pool is wonderful and large. Ocean is easy quick walk. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful vacation! The property was well-kept, we enjoyed the pools and hot tub, beach access was great, we enjoyed the safety of the gated community, and loved the proximity to Coligny. We hope to visit Shorewood again!

Linda Roberts is very professional & nice to call & let me know place at ocean club villa was in foreclosure & suggested Sorrwood villa to me. I would have liked wifi in the condo, carpet needed cleaning, bed pillows needed to be replaced, & each time we dried our hair in the bathrooms, the fuse went off & we had to keep going to the fuse box & fix it. Other than these things, We would stay at shorewood villas again. Best pool & hot tub we've ever had in HHI condos! Thank you & looking forward to being back this summer for 2 weeks if cost is good!
