Welcome to The Sandbox where we’ve been successfully disguising learning as play since opening our doors in 2005. Through the generous support of our volunteers, donors and sponsors— The Sandbox has become one of Hilton Head Island’s premiere family destinations having welcomed more than 350,000 neighbors and visitors over the years. We are excited to offer our hands-on interactive experience to children and families at our new Bluffton location in Tanger 2 Outlets.

Designed to allow kids to play freely while discovering their surroundings—the museum is the ideal place to let your little one to lead the way! While our outreach has expanded, our primary goal remains: positively impact the lives of young children through age-appropriate play and inspire memorable moments for children and families in the process. Our child-friendly environment is as safe as it is fun—a place where messes are evidence of creativity, where new friends are just around the corner and where exploring new things doesn’t feel quite so scary.

Our Mission:
To provide inclusive and safe environments for children to learn and explore with their peers and caregivers through hands-on discovery and imaginative play that cultivates their physical, social and cognitive development.

The Lowcountry Celebration Park features:

Located on Pope Ave. and the Coligny Circle

• The Adventure Playground, named after the ship Captain William Hilton was on when he discovered Hilton Head Island. It features a reimagined design of the ship, playground, wading pool and more.
• An Open Pavilion and Lawn for fun events and festivals.
• The Perimeter Walk subtly lighted for evening strolls around the park.
• The Setting Sun Sculpture
• Two Fitness Stations
• Wi-Fi
• Lights and Security Cameras
• The Sandbox Children’s Museum (Scheduled to open early 2021)
• Restrooms Facilities
• Parking spaces on a new lot near the parks entrance from Nassau Street and parking spaces on Nassau Street.

Become a mermaid and make your dreams come true

Mermaid photography is not just a photography session. Mermaid photography is unique in that it offers you the magical experience of turning into a mermaid while leaving you with magical memories of the fun you had for years to come.

Unique island experience. Perfect for individuals, couples, families, groups, birthdays, anniversaries and lots of fun. Join us for this 35 minute interactive bike tour while riding on glowing bicycles. We stop at 3 different Hilton Head Island landmarks along the way for photos, music and dancing! Create great memories with this rare and exciting island experience.

Social Distance: We ride six feet apart, we have facemasks, face shields, gloves and helmets available. We clean and sanitize our bikes and equipment after each use.
